TAG’s Steve Bond Joins Promises2Kids Board

Executive Vice President of fast growing company to chair organization’s Chefs and Champions Gala.

SAN DIEGO – April 2, 2009 – TAG, Southern California’s premier outsourced accounting consultancy, announced today that its Executive Vice President, Steve Bond, joined Promises2Kids’ Board of Directors.

He will also chair the organizations’ ninth annual Chefs and Champions Gala magical-themed annual fundraising event later this year that will feature food stations and cocktails from award-winning chefs.

“It’s indeed an absolute honor and privilege to be working with such prominent San Diegans on a cause that’s very near and dear to me,” said Bond. “As a father, I want to help ensure that all kids have the opportunity to grow up in safe, loving environments, and want to play an active role through this organization to make that happen.”

Despite his demanding schedule as an executive for one of San Diego’s fastest growing, privately-held companies, Bond is no stranger to service. He also participates in a number of other local organizations, including the San Diego Rotary Club and the MIT Enterprise Forum. Bond is also Past President of the San Diego State University Business Alumni Network.

Originally founded as the Child Abuse Prevention Foundation of San Diego County, Promises2Kids is a 29-year-old nonprofit group that has led the fight against child abuse and neglect in the region. No other organization in the area offers such a broad array of support systems or a wealth of opportunities to connect with a wide variety of resources, programs and collaborative partners focused on eliminating this problem. The Chief Executive Officer of Promises2Kids is the former two-term Mayor of San Diego, the Honorable Susan Golding.
