Sales & Marketing Leadership Alliance Announces Finalists to Acknowledge the Region’s Top Sales & Marketing Executives
The Sales & Marketing Leadership Alliance (SMLA) was formed as a resource to build the community of San Diego’s sales and marketing professionals, providing education and networking opportunities. SMLA hosts monthly events in both San Diego and Orange County.

Winners will be announced at the “Dinner and Disruption” ceremony with keynote address by Peter Coffee, VP of Strategic Research at Salesforce.

Anneke Stender, Executive Vice President
Stender has been with TAG since 2003 and oversees TAG’s Corporate Accounting and Family CFO divisons. She works with the teams to provide management, new business development and the implementation of a sales and marketing strategic plan for the division’s growth. Her foresight has led to the expansion of TAG’s accounting and family CFO services into Rancho Santa Fe, Newport Beach, Beverly Hills and Riverside County.
As a Trusted Advisor to her high-net-worth and business owner clients, Stender has formed close relationships with service providers and consistently networks within ProVisors, Estate Planning Council of San Diego and STEP. She is a board member for the Scripps Health Foundation Gift Planning Advisory Board.
Sara Gilman, Marketing & Business Development Manager
For the last five years, Gilman has lead the marketing efforts for TAG. In that time, she has produced a responsive website with search engine optimization, complete with newly branded colors highlighting separate divisions and services. Working with designers, she has completed company brochures, presentations and extensive marketing collateral for business prospects and centers of influence.
As a former journalist, Gilman works to create content marketing and outreach with consistent branding and messaging to highlight client success stories, accounting services and software products. She helps to enhance company culture and recruitment through social media and team-building events. In 2013, Gilman established the Nonprofit Leadership Forum to enhance the success of nonprofit organizations in San Diego and continues to create new niche services for TAG.
The award ceremony takes place on Wednesday, October 4th with four categories to recognize the finalists. The achievements are based on success within their company or community and the winners will demonstrate determination, insight and yield success for their organizations. The finalists exemplify the true meaning of a leader, driving success in their businesses and the local economy.
